  • Maureen Farrell is a former teacher of English, and is currently a senior lecturer in the School of Education at the University of Glasgow.
  • John Hodgart is the former Principal Teacher of English at Garnock Academy, and Secretary of the Education Committee of the ASLS.
  • Alison Lumsden is Professor of English at the University of Aberdeen, and co-director of the University of Aberdeen’s Walter Scott Research Centre.
  • Alan Riach is Professor of Scottish Literature at the University of Glasgow. He is also a published poet, author of several collections of poetry including Clearances and Homecoming.
  • Gillian Sargent is a teacher of English at Grange Academy, Kilmarnock, and has written a Scotnote study guide for ASLS on Janice Galloway’s The Trick is to Keep Breathing.
  • Elaine Webster is the Education and Outreach Officer at Scottish Language Dictionaries.
